This product works great, no question. I bought it at the Apple store after seeing how easily and quickly the Genius Bar used it to clean and polish my iPhone screen. Worked just as well on my new MacBook Pro and my Pioneer plasma TV as well. It only takes seconds to apply and polishes to a streak-free shine with little effort. Purchase from Amazon..

This product did exactly as promised. It completely removed the scratches on my Video iPod. Although it may take more than one application (as stated in the instructions) the results were nothing short of amazing. Bottom line: When this bottle runs out, I will buy another. Purchase on Amazon..

Um..My display is really scratched. I bought this in hopes that it would “solve” the problem. Wrong. It’s basically like Turtle Wax for your cell or whatever screen you intend to use it for. I was really disappointed in the fact that it didn’t “remove” the scratches as it claims to do and that it costs $6 for a tiny bottle of liquid wax. Um, Don’t Purchase on Amazon..
Folks, when we heard about the scratch-proof optical glass, and when we saw the videos, (below) we figured this website would be a waste of time. But turns out, some of you ARE finding ways to scratch your iPhone.
Leave a comment below if you’ve scratched you iPhone, and tell us HOW it happened. Also, got any tips on fixing the scratches?
I’ve also compiled a list of helpful sites where you might find answers:
The LA Times has a story about iphones getting cracked. Talk about a bummer. Don’t let this happen to your iPhone.
Then I dropped my iPhone — it slipped! — from about three feet, and it hit the sidewalk. Apple’s design gurus had miscalculated — one fall and the screen shattered across the top corner. Little bits of glass began to chip away.
The Apple store had bad news. The only way to replace a cracked iPhone screen is to buy a whole new iPhone.
There are two kinds of conversations going on at this site: People talking about fixes and remedies, and people talking about prevention.
Prevention
For the prevention crowd, you can always try some of those thin clear plastic shields or go the Alcatraz route and imprison your iPhone inside a protective case. Go with rubber or plastic or yes, even leather.
But who cares about prevention, right? Let’s talk remedies.
Remedies
Well, I can’t authoritatively speak to any surefire remedies. Thats why you should leave a comment below.
Tnkgrl says: The Belkin acrylic case I purchased to protect my iPhone is scratching my iPhone… Can you believe it? It appears that some debris (?) is getting trapped between the Belkin acrylic case and my iPhone, and is leaving marks on the aluminum and plastic back cover, as well as the stainless steel screen bezel.
There are flickr photos showing the iphone scratches in question:
And what about that screen? Mine looks as good and works as well as it did the day I brought the iPhone home. Even after two months of constant use, it looks new—no dings, scratches or worn areas have shown up yet, a testament to the overall hardware design. Yes, the glass screen gets smudged from your fingers, and from your face when you hold it up to talk. But it’s as easy to clean as any other glass surface, especially with the cleaning cloth supplied by Apple.
What about everybody else? Have you had any problems with your iphone?
“we (me and kethe, that is) were trying to find out what the iPhone is made of. after being gentle with it for some time, we got a little frustrated and decided to just smash the damn thing.”
