Some iphone cases causing scratches

Belkin Case Scratching iphone

Tnkgrl says: The Belkin acrylic case I purchased to protect my iPhone is scratching my iPhone… Can you believe it? It appears that some debris (?) is getting trapped between the Belkin acrylic case and my iPhone, and is leaving marks on the aluminum and plastic back cover, as well as the stainless steel screen bezel.

There are flickr photos showing the iphone scratches in question:

Ok, I got the rubber incase for my iphone after I dropped it. I dropped the phone a couple of times after (I am a goof) and it helped there, but I noticed a few problems. 1 the case itself causes tiny scratches on the chrome edge and the case itself does not keep its original snug shape. All in all I love my iphone because it’s just easier to use, but I wish I didn’t get it all scratched up by a product that was supposed to protect it.

Same problem here and it’s so frustrating that something that was meant to prevent damage is actually causing it! The scratches are around the chrome edge and back. So I just got rid of the case altogether. And this definitely has its advantages because the iphone is such a pleasure to use without the case…smaller and beautiful to touch (not to mention less geeky).

you can get scratches on the screen from pocket sand. So use a screen protector!

Same thing here! I had a black snap on cover and from what i see now apparently some small pieces of something got trapped between the cover and iphone and the pressure from the snapon made the back of the phone to get the form of them! This sucks! I use it naked now
