Its a big shame that people would smother a beautiful iPhone inside a third party case. …just not right.

And how could we not mention the iPhone Armband
These cases are stupid.
Sure, the iphone will probably scuff and scratch , and get nasty fingerprints on it. Especially if you’re dropping it or carrying it in your pocket with your keys. But, unless you’re storing top-secret documents on your iphone and plan on smuggling it through a third-world airport checkpoint inside your anus, I’d forgo a stupid case.
Why not just take care of your iPhone and repair any scratches? I’m sure there will be creams and polishes and chemicals available. You’re gonna pay $500 bucks for the thing. Why in the world would you cover it up?
Robhon from the everythingiphone messageboard says:
“Yeah, you know, I think there’s tons of that out there. In fact, to be quite honest, I’m a little sick of the look of all the ipod and cell phone cases out there. I’ve gone through a number of them myself. I wear them for a little while and just end up not using them. I’ve got a drawer full of them.
….One of the things I really love about Apple product design, as well, is it’s simplicity and functionality. And what bothers me about so many cases is that they try to cover up Apple’s great products with something that is so, at times, ridiculously over-stated.
As a designer I don’t think it’s my job to create some piece of “design choreography” to impress you into buying a case. (Although that often works well as a short term business model.) I believe I am supposed to create a case that, 1) Protects the contents (your iphone), 2) Lends itself to making the product more usable/accessable and 3) Makes the user feel good about his/her purchase.
Ultimately you want to enjoy your iPhone rather than just the case that surrounds it. I don’t want to try to trump Apple’s design. I want to protect it. “
good points. very good points.

Case is a style of life. It will indicate the charter of the user.

Well, I’m against you, If we don’t cover our iPhone, how the hell would you know its yours? Imagine a place where other people bring their iPhones too. What’s the difference between yours and theirs if you don’t cover it up? everything look the same, and there are high chances of confusion.

That just made me laugh. I didn’t cover mine but then I dropped it so many times it’s been dented so I put one of those clear doodads on it.

Nick needs to learn another word besides the F word. Sounds like he needs to grow up. That’s why we live in America. Cause people have option and opinions!
